Asian Short Ribs

Ingredients

  • 3 poundsshort ribs
  • ½ cupsoy sauce
  • ¼ cupwater
  • 1 ounceginger
  • 2-3 clovesgarlic
  • ¼ cupbrown sugar
  • ½ onion
  • 2 teaspoonssesame oil
  • 1 pinchred pepper flakes
  • 2 Tablespoonscornstarch
  • 1-2 teaspoonsalt

Directions

  1. Set instant pot to saute
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of oil
  3. Combine soy, water, ginger, garlic, sugar, onion, sesame oil in blender
  4. Stir in red pepper flakes
  5. Add salt to short ribs
  6. Brown short rips on 2 sides ~4min per side
  7. Deglaze instant pot with water
  8. Add meat back to instant pot
  9. Add sauce
  10. Cook on high pressure for 35 min
  11. Remove meat
  12. Mix cornstarch with equal parts cold water to make slurry
  13. Add slurry to instant pot
  14. Add Sauce to short ribs.
