BBQ Country-Style Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1 smallonion, peeled, cut in half, and sliced into half-moon rings
  • 4 garlicscloves, chopped
  • 2 poundscountry-style boneless pork ribs (about 8 ribs)
  • 9 ouncesbarbecue sauce
  • 1 teaspoondried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoonground cumin
  • 1 pinchdried ground chipotle powder (or squirt of hot pepper sauce)

Directions

  1. Spray inside of slow cooker crock with nonstick spray.
  2. Place sliced onion in bottom, and sprinkle garlic on top.
  3. Rinse and pat ribs dry, and place them on onion.
  4. Pour barbecue sauce over top, sprinkle with oregano, cumin and chipotle
  5. Put lid on and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours.
  6. Remove ribs from sauce and set aside.
  7. Place sauce in small saucepan and boil for 3-8 -ish minutes, until sauce thickens (from evaporation).
  8. Serve ribs in wide bowl and pass sauce in a gravy boat for diners to serve themselves.
