Garlic Butter Beef Short Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 poundsbeef short ribs
  • ¼ tspsalt
  • 1 pinchpepper
  • 2 Tablespoonsbutter
  • 4 clovessgarlic, minced
  • 3-4 sprigsfresh thyme
  • 2-3 cupbeef bone broth

Directions

  1. In a bowl, season beef short ribs with salt and pepper and set aside.
  2. Set Instant Pot to "Sauté"
  3. Melt butter in instant pot
  4. Once butter is melted, add the short ribs and sear on one side for about 7-8 minutes
  5. turn and sear on the other side about 4 minutes.
  6. Remove the ribs from the Instant Pot and set aside.
  7. Add the garlic and thyme to the Instant Pot
  8. Cook on "Sauté, Hot" for about 1 minute.
  9. Add a small amount of the bone broth to the Instant Pot to deglaze the bottom of the pot.
  10. Add the ribs back into the Instant Pot.
  11. Pour over the bone broth just until the ribs are covered, do not worry if you do not use all the broth called for.
  12. Set to "Pressure Cook" for 35 minutes (45 minutes for bone in)
  13. Allow a natural release of pressure for 15 minutes.
