Garlic Butter Beef Short Ribs
Ingredients
- 2 poundsbeef short ribs
- ¼ tspsalt
- 1 pinchpepper
- 2 Tablespoonsbutter
- 4 clovessgarlic, minced
- 3-4 sprigsfresh thyme
- 2-3 cupbeef bone broth
Directions
- In a bowl, season beef short ribs with salt and pepper and set aside.
- Set Instant Pot to "Sauté"
- Melt butter in instant pot
- Once butter is melted, add the short ribs and sear on one side for about 7-8 minutes
- turn and sear on the other side about 4 minutes.
- Remove the ribs from the Instant Pot and set aside.
- Add the garlic and thyme to the Instant Pot
- Cook on "Sauté, Hot" for about 1 minute.
- Add a small amount of the bone broth to the Instant Pot to deglaze the bottom of the pot.
- Add the ribs back into the Instant Pot.
- Pour over the bone broth just until the ribs are covered, do not worry if you do not use all the broth called for.
- Set to "Pressure Cook" for 35 minutes (45 minutes for bone in)
- Allow a natural release of pressure for 15 minutes.
