Grilled Spicy Lamb Burgers
Ingredients
- 1 poundground lamb
- 2 Tablespoonschopped fresh mint leaves
- 2 Tablespoonschopped fresh cilantro
- 2 Tablespoonschopped fresh oregano
- 1 Tablespoongarlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoonground cumin
- 1 teaspoonmolasses
- 1 teaspoonsherry
- 1 teaspoonwhite wine vinegar
- ½ teaspoonred pepper flakes
- ½ teaspoonsalt
- ½ teaspoonground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoonallspice
- 4 pitasbread rounds
- 4 ouncesfeta cheese, crumbled
Directions
- Preheat grill for medium heat.
- Place the lamb in a large bowl
- Mix with the mint, cilantro, oregano, garlic, sherry, vinegar, and molasses.
- Season with cumin, allspice, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper
- Mix well
- Shape into patties.
- Brush grill grate with oil.
- Grill burgers 5 minutes on each side.
- Heat the pita pocket briefly on the grill.
- Serve burgers wrapped in pitas with feta cheese.
