Grilled Spicy Lamb Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 poundground lamb
  • 2 Tablespoonschopped fresh mint leaves
  • 2 Tablespoonschopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 Tablespoonschopped fresh oregano
  • 1 Tablespoongarlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoonground cumin
  • 1 teaspoonmolasses
  • 1 teaspoonsherry
  • 1 teaspoonwhite wine vinegar
  • ½ teaspoonred pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoonsalt
  • ½ teaspoonground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoonallspice
  • 4 pitasbread rounds
  • 4 ouncesfeta cheese, crumbled

Directions

  1. Preheat grill for medium heat.
  2. Place the lamb in a large bowl
  3. Mix with the mint, cilantro, oregano, garlic, sherry, vinegar, and molasses.
  4. Season with cumin, allspice, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper
  5. Mix well
  6. Shape into patties.
  7. Brush grill grate with oil.
  8. Grill burgers 5 minutes on each side.
  9. Heat the pita pocket briefly on the grill.
  10. Serve burgers wrapped in pitas with feta cheese.
