Skillet Sausage 'n' Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 16 ounceskielbasa sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 greenbell pepper, cut into strips
  • 6 cupscoarsely chopped cabbage
  • 1 cupdry white wine or chicken broth
  • ½ teaspooncaraway seeds
  • ½ teaspoonsalt
  • ½ teaspoonblack pepper

Directions

  1. Saute sausage in a large heavy skillet over medium heat until browned;
  2. drain on paper towels.
  3. Add onion and bell pepper to skillet
  4. saute 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Add cabbage, and cook, stirring often, 8 minutes.
  6. Add sausage, wine, and remaining ingredients.
  7. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
  8. Serve immediately.
