Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast


  • 3 poundsTop Round Roast Beef Roast, (also known as Topside)
  • 1 TablespoonArrowroot Flour
  • 2 TablespoonsWater
  • Raw Carrot, cut into medium pieces
  • Onion, quartered
  • ½ cupWorcestershire Sauce
  • 1 pinchSalt and Pepper


  1. Add arrowroot (tapioca flour) and water to a small bowl
  2. Stir until smooth
  3. Pour into slow cooker
  4. Add carrots and onion to the slow cooker
  5. Sprinkle with sea salt
  6. Sprinkle with pepper
  7. Mix until well coated
  8. Season the roast with sea salt and pepper
  9. Place roast on top of the vegetables.
  10. Pour the Worcestershire sauce over the top
  11. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours or low for 10 hours.
  12. Pour some of the pan juices over the roast
  13. Transfer to a plate and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  14. Slice thinly and serve with the vegetables and pan juices.
