Instant Pot Dal

Directions
- 1. Rinse 1cup lentils.
- 2. Add the rinsed lentils, water (amount depends on the type of lentil), turmeric, and salt to the Instant Pot.
- 3. Set the Instant Pot to high (or in some cases, low) pressure and cook for 6 to 20 minutes with natural pressure release.
- 4. Separately, melt some ghee or butter in a pan and add 1teaspoon cumin seeds, dried chiles, red chili powder, and asafoetida.
- 5. Spoon the fried spices tadka over the finished dal.
- 6. Complete with a generous squeeze of lime juice and cilantro.
